Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and efficiency, supporting the kitchen’s daily operations. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help deliver an outstanding dining experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items according to recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble dishes with attention to presentation, quality, and timing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and measuring ingredients
- Support kitchen staff during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
Requirements
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus but not required
- Previous food preparation or culinary experience in restaurants or food service environments preferred
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of menu planning, catering, and serving procedures is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
