Full Job Description
Job Summary:
- Follows all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; uses all required safety equipment
- Operate all machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of products and work with other employees to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates
- Bottling Line Operators must have a basic knowledge of how to set up, operate and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Responsible for accurate count of fill and proper input of data into inventory control software
- Manually palletize and wrap inventory before transferring to warehouse
- Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Understands the equipment operations – troubleshoots and modifies settings as needed – performs daily operational checks of equipment, using senses of touch, sound, smell and constantly monitors efficiency, downtime – helps with the setup of the equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Assist with staging and loading purchase orders
- Ability to drive heavy work truck and properly tie down cargo for a safe transfer of goods
- Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout shift
- Performs other tasks as requested by Supervisor
SAFETY AND QUALITY:
- Understands equipment hazards to prevent injury to self and others – understands company policies on safety and follow procedures – PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Reports any safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to the Supervisor
- Maintains proper housekeeping and safety standards
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Fast paced, warehouse and industrial environment.
- Exposure to hazardous materials such as alcohol and chemicals, loud noise, and moderate heat/cold.
- Essential physical requirements, such as frequent climbing, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching and lifting, occasionally above shoulders.
- Some overtime required.
- Able to stand and walk all day with minimal breaks.
- Able to lift, carry and pull 50 pounds or less.
- Able to work around alcohol and other flammable liquids.
- Able to visually inspect products.
