Line Service Technician

The Line Service Technician supports safe, efficient, and professional aircraft operations for PlaneSense, Inc. & its affiliates. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality ground services to aircraft, flight crews, and company personnel, including marshaling, towing, fueling coordination, sanitation support, baggage handling, and transportation services. The technician ensures strict adherence to company safety practices, Federal Aviation Regulations, and airport authority guidelines while maintaining a customer-focused, well-groomed, and professional demeanor.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work in fast-paced, all-weather environments as part of a highly dedicated team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Adhere to and promote all company safety practices and policies.
  • Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew (call in fuel, lavatory, baggage assistance, special requests, etc.)
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s).
  • Interact with local airport authority.
  • Provide ground movement assistance & ground support to aircraft
  • Meeting inbound aircraft upon arrival to ramp and helping prepare aircraft for departure.
  • Staging/towing aircraft to and from the hangar and remote parking areas.
  • Hangar housekeeping.
  • Sanitation services to the aircraft.
  • Vehicle transport of flight crews and company personnel as requested.
  • Loading and unloading of Clients luggage into the aircraft and their personal vehicles.
  • Assist the Facilities Department with upkeep of the grounds. Occasional Snow removal
  • Ability to work in all-weather environments.

Qualifications

This position provides excellent customer service for passengers and for various departments in the company. Professional, well-groomed appearance must be maintained at all times.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Aviation experience or Line Service experience preferred.
  • Ability to physically and mentally perform job functions (such as lifting equipment and items, safely operating equipment, following instructions for the use of chemicals and supplies).
  • Secure and sustain Valid State Driver's license
  • Ability to pass 10-year criminal history records checks a must.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and various web-based applications.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer, time management, verbal communication, and written skills are necessary.

Work Schedule & Availability:

This position requires flexibility in scheduling. Work schedules are not fixed and are determined by the needs of the business. Schedules are typically provided on a biweekly basis by the supervisor; however, they may be adjusted, changed, or extended with limited notice due to operational demands, weather conditions, flight activity, or other business needs. Technicians must be able to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. (AAC) is a Pilatus authorized fleet service and support center for the PlaneSense® fractional fleet. As an FAA certified Part 145 repair station, we specialize in Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft and Pilatus PC-24 twin engine jet aircraft support, including turbine aircraft repairs, annual inspections, phase inspections, hourly inspections, modifications, and Service Bulletin compliance, as well as Avionics repairs and sales.

Atlas Aircraft Center is part of the PlaneSense, Inc. headquarters in Portsmouth, NH. Our state-of-the-art, 40,000 square foot hangar is equipped with slab heating, high-tech lighting, and Megadoors. These special fabric doors provide superior insulation capabilities to protect staff from inclement weather while also shielding customers’ aircraft from the elements. The very high ceilings and door openings accommodate all types of aircraft. An additional 44,000 square feet is dedicated to shop space and corporate offices.

Our Nevada maintenance facility is located in Boulder City, NV and features 36,000 square feet of air-conditioned hangar space. This Atlas Aircraft Center facility provides valuable support for the PlaneSense® fleet, mainly serving fractional share clients in the Western part of the U.S.
