Line/Prep Cook

Diamond Concessions is hiring a Line/Prep Cook in Idaho Falls, ID at the Mountain America Center!

Diamond Concessions specializes in concessions and catering for minor league sports and arenas/amphitheaters across the United States. Our locations have a shared focus in providing great customer service and the highest quality product for our partners and patrons.

The Mountain America Center consists of the Hero Arena and the Blue Cross of Idaho Conference Center. Hero Arena is the home of the Spud Kings hockey team and also hosts a variety of entertainment such as concerts, comedy shows etc. The Blue Cross of Idaho Conference Center is a state-of-the-art event space that can accommodate all types of banquets, conferences, meetings, trade shows, and receptions.

Job Description

The position of a cook comes with the responsibilities, duties, and tasks shown in the job description below:

• Cook/prepare the provided recipes for corresponding menu items.
• Sanitize food preparation and serving areas.
• Stir or turn foods to ensure even cooking.
• Cook and season food according to recipes.
• Test foods to determine if they have been sufficiently cooked – methods employed for this purpose involves smelling, tasting, or piercing them with utensils.
• Prepare, arrange and serve food to servers for distribution.
• Get customers’ orders and prepare food according to specification.
• Ensure that the equipment is in proper working condition; report to employer when any fault occurs.
• Keep work areas clean; monitor oven temperatures and other kitchen equipment, as needed.
• Assist other cooks in times of emergencies.
• Prepare recipes.
• Prepare side dishes and desserts
• Perform other tasks as employer requires.

Job Qualifications:

• Possess a passion for culinary excellence.
• Ability to work flexible schedule to accommodate business levels.
• Ability to manage frequent change.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
