Position: Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Location: I-10, Islamabad

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in Linux, virtualization, and automation while supporting our critical infrastructure.

Your Role:

You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure. Working under the guidance of our Team Lead, you'll help manage our Linux systems, Proxmox virtualization platforms, databases, and enterprise hardware. Your contributions will be vital to our service availability and smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do:

• Manage & Maintain: Configure and support our Linux server environments (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) and Proxmox virtualization platforms.
• Administer Databases: Administer MySQL databases, including installation, replication setup, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Ensure Resilience: Implement and manage reliable backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor & Optimize: Use tools like Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor system health and performance.
• Automate: Streamline routine tasks and deployments using Bash scripting and Ansible.
• Support & Troubleshoot: Provide timely support for IT operations and resolve issues across production and staging environments.
• Collaborate: Work with the team on security hardening, system upgrades, and patching.
• Handle Hardware: Work with Dell Enterprise Servers in our data center environments.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• 1 -2 years of hands-on experience in a Linux-based infrastructure role.
• Practical experience with MySQL administration, Proxmox VE, and monitoring tools.

Key Technical Skills:

• OS: Linux System Administration (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu)
• Virtualization: Proxmox VE
• Databases: MySQL (Installation, Tuning, Monitoring)
• Web Servers: Nginx, Apache
• Monitoring: Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
