Liquor Lead/Bartender

Sonoma's Best is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Liquor Store Associate & Bartender to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in beer, wine, and spirits, and thrives in a social environment. You’ll split your time between retail sales and bartending. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers discover new favorites, understands upselling techniques, and can create a personalized shopping experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Lead the bar by demonstrating excellent customer service skills, fostering a welcoming environment for all guests.
• Manage Square POS to process orders efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; coordinate with vendors for timely restocking.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and company policies related to alcohol service, including responsible serving practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender or in food service; retail math skills are essential.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Experience with beverage programs including cocktail crafting is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like catering or banquets.
