Part-Time Stock Associate – Lexington Liquors

Job Title: Part-Time Stock Associate
Reports To: Store Manager
Location: Lexington Municipal Liquor Store
Schedule: Part-Time (Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays as Needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Stock Associate to help maintain inventory, organize merchandise, and ensure our store remains clean, well-stocked, and customer-ready. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to lift and move products safely, and committed to providing excellent support to both customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and verify incoming deliveries.
• Stock shelves, coolers, displays, and storage areas with beer, wine, spirits, and related products.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods to maintain product freshness and organization.
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory or out-of-stock items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe stockroom and sales floor areas.
• Build and replenish promotional displays and seasonal merchandise.
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and product pricing updates.
• Remove damaged or expired products according to company procedures.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers by locating products and answering basic questions.
• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and alcohol sales regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, warehouse, stocking, or grocery experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug sreening.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment.
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Working Conditions

• Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of cases of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Exposure to varying temperatures in coolers and storage areas.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
