Literacy Specialist Executive Function Coach

The FULL TIME Literacy Specialist Executive Function (EF) Coach provides individualized coaching services to clients assigned by New Agenda, LLC. Clients qualify for Literacy Support and Executive Function Coaching based on age and identified needs across diagnoses, neurodivergent patterns, and/or individualized developmental goals. Diagnoses may include, but are not limited to, Dyslexia, ADHD, Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, and Anxiety/Depression. The Literacy Specialist Level II EF Coach independently manages a full caseload, including clients with moderate to complex literacy-based and executive functioning needs. As a part of this role a productivity expectation for standard performance will be provided, with bonus for above ‘standard performance’. Duties and Responsibilities

Client Service & Caseload Management

  • Support clients with the following:
  • Orton Gillingham Tutoring
  • Reading Comprehension support
  • Written-Language Instruction utilizing Research-to-Intervention (RTI) methodology
  • College-based support for reading and writing
  • Executive Function Coaching
  • Independently manage a full caseload of clients with varying levels of complexity
  • Conduct prompt initial scheduling and ongoing rescheduling as needed
  • Assess and prescribe a plan for specific literacy interventions.
  • Review and analyze relevant client documentation to inform service delivery
  • Develop measurable, individualized client goals and adjust strategies based on progress data
  • Plan and conduct literacy and coaching sessions aligned with client goals and learning styles
  • Provide mid-week check-ins for EF Coaching ONLY clients.
  • Provide home-program exercise for OG clients, as necessary.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and/or families
  • Facilitate or recommend appropriate community or academic resources when applicable
  • Ensure services promote measurable client progress and overall welfare
  • Provide small group interventions and ‘guide-based’ support within programming provided by New Agenda, including a potential home-school pod for Middle School students.

Documentation & Systems Compliance

  • Utilize the designated scheduling and documentation platform (TutorBird) for all sessions
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and update changes in real time
  • Upload session notes and related documentation within 24 hours of service delivery or receipt of documents
  • Document all communication conducted on behalf of the client
  • Obtain prior approval from family/payor for additional weekly session time and document authorization accordingly

Operational Efficiency

  • Coordinate efficient scheduling based on client location and mapping considerations as caseload grows
  • Manage session times effectively to remain within authorized hours
  • Maintain productivity standards and meet documentation timelines consistently
  • Support continuity of services during scheduling transitions as directed
  • Provide support to other EFC Level I as needed.
  • Provide temporary direct literacy and coaching coverage for clients when an Executive Function Coach is unavailable due to absence, vacancy, performance concerns, or scheduling gaps

Referral & Onboarding Support

  • Conduct 15-minute discovery calls for prospective clients when assigned
  • Conduct virtual onboarding sessions (approximately 30 minutes) when assigned
  • Conduct literacy-based assessments as needed, and provide data-based metrics (table-format) for documentation.
  • Complete detailed onboarding reports (approximately 120 minutes) within expected timelines
  • Maintain thorough documentation of discovery and onboarding interactions
  • You may be asked to perform administrative tasks such as marketing mailings, discovery calls, or other tasks assigned by a supervisor.

Team Collaboration & Professional Participation

  • Present two client cases annually for team-based peer review
  • Participate as an audience member in at least two peer review sessions annually
  • Participate in additional team-based case meetings as required
  • Model professional standards and collaborative practices within the team
  • Attend additional team-based case meetings as required

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Complete a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education annually outside regular employment time
  • Provide evidence every six months demonstrating progression toward continuing education requirements
  • Continuing education may include coursework related to Dyslexia, Learning Disability, Reading and Writing instruction, ADHD, Executive Function Skills, ASD, Neurodivergent Patterns, Mental Health Supports, and Learner Styles (students and adults)
  • For licensed professionals, coursework supporting license maintenance is acceptable
  • Mandatory, job-related training required by applicable law will be treated as compensable time
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in literacy and executive function coaching, education, behavioral support, counseling, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage client cases with moderate complexity
  • Strong goal development, progress monitoring, and data-informed decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to balance billable and administrative expectations effectively
  • Professional judgment and ethical decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with online scheduling and documentation platforms

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in the field.
  • Specialized training or certification in literacy, including Orton Gillingham training, as well as executive functioning, ADHD, neurodivergence, or related specialties preferred
