Overview:
Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. News in their list of “Best Companies to Work For - Law Firms," is seeking an Associate Attorney, to join our dynamic General Liability group.
A competitive salary and hybrid work schedule will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will be expected to handle all aspects of a case including conducting discoveries, corresponding with clients and counsel, deposition practice, motion practice, oral argument, court conferences, mediations/settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:

Advocate for clients in diverse insurance defense matters, delivering strategic representation across a broad spectrum of claims and disputes

Independently manage a full litigation caseload from initial filing through final resolution, demonstrating strong case management and legal acumen

Conduct court appearances, depositions, and motion practice with confidence and precision, ensuring effective advocacy at every stage of litigation

Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients, providing timely updates, legal insights, and strategic guidance throughout the case lifecycle
Qualifications:

JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in the State of New York

Minimum of one year of experience in insurance defense and general liability litigation

Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Strong academic background coupled with excellent interpersonal and professional communication abilities

Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
