Litigation Associate (3-5 Years) | Real Estate & Business

Cavell Law – Highland Heights, OH (Greater Cleveland)

$80,000 – $100,000 + Quarterly Performance Bonuses

You will manage a meaningful caseload with autonomy, with assistance from the entire Cavell Law staff. We handle complex real estate and business disputes across Northeast Ohio, providing a platform for attorneys who want to lead cases and consistently meet professional demands.

Core Responsibilities

  • Billable Requirement: Maintain an annual billable target of at least 1,500 hours.
  • Case Ownership: Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery with minimal supervision/corrections.
  • Litigation: Manage the full litigation lifecycle, from matter assignment through trial/appeal or settlement. Business development is not an expectation of this role, but origination credit is given.
  • Practice Areas: Focused on title disputes, HOA enforcement, commercial litigation, and landlord matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of civil litigation experience; Ohio Bar license in good standing with no disciplinary history in any jurisdiction.
  • Courtroom Presence: Demonstrated experience in Ohio courts (Cuyahoga County preferred).
  • Skills: Strong legal research (LexisNexis AI+) and writing abilities.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Suite, Clio, and LawMatics and willingness to use Apple/Amazon Alexa.
