Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join our sophisticated and nationally recognized Business Litigation group in our Orange County office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

About the Role

As our practice continues to expand on the West Coast, we are seeking a highly skilled litigator with some portable business (approximately $100,000+ in portables would be ideal) to help further grow our presence in California. This opportunity is ideal for a senior associate or counsel-level attorney seeking an entrepreneurial platform backed by the resources of an Am Law 200 firm. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 6 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent corporate and individual clients in complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, fraud, trade secrets, partnership/shareholder matters, and unfair competition claims
• Independently manage all phases of litigation from pre-litigation evaluation through trial or resolution
• Draft and argue motions, manage written discovery, and take and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice and risk assessments
• Work closely with partners and leadership to strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business/commercial litigation
• Portable book of business (approximately $100,000 or more)
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases and client needs independently
• Admission to practice in California
