Litigation Attorney

McNamara Smith is a small firm of accomplished attorneys with national experience and expertise across multiple practice areas, including White Collar and Regulatory Defense, Internal Investigations, Complex Civil Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Regulatory Receiverships and Monitorships. Most of our work is in federal courts and we focus on only a limited number of complex investigations and cases at any one time.

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney with at least 5 years of relevant experience to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, exceptional analysis and writing skills, and be a member of the California Bar. Candidates with federal judicial clerkship experience are of particular interest.

Responsibilities

• Analyze facts; develop and implement strategy.
• Conduct thorough and thoughtful legal research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal correspondence.
• Analyze case facts and evidence to build strong arguments for court presentations.
• Advise clients with investigation and case updates, discuss legal strategies, and address concerns.
• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Mentor associates.
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, and assume a high degree of responsibility.

Compensation

$145,000 to $215,000 + discretionary bonus
