Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins LLP is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our Transportation, Construction, and Premises Liability & Negligent Security Litigation practice groups in our Dunwoody office.

Our attorneys represent businesses of all types in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases across Georgia’s state and federal courts. We have significant experience defending property owners and managers—retail, restaurant, multifamily, and commercial—as well as drivers, insurers, and transportation industry companies including motor carriers, motor coaches, utilities, and commercial vehicle operators.

This position offers the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and high-impact cases in close collaboration with senior attorneys.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Litigation Associate, you will:

  • Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, construction, product defects, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, general liability, and other tort claims.
  • Draft pleadings, respond to and issue discovery, prepare motions and supporting memos, conduct legal research, and manage document productions.
  • Take and defend depositions; prepare and maintain privilege logs.
  • Manage cases from inception through trial preparation and completion.
  • Defend first-party insurance cases on behalf of insurance carriers.
  • Negotiate settlements in informal discussions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a litigation team.
  • Commit to developing strong litigation skills and advancing within the practice.

Skills & Educational Requirements

  • Georgia Bar Admission required; admission to Georgia federal district courts preferred.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 3–5 years of relevant civil litigation experience.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to independently produce high-quality work product.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong client-development capabilities and commitment to ongoing business development.
  • Effective collaboration skills and ability to work alongside other professionals.
