Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team on a full-time basis. This role focuses on complex business litigation and employment defense matters. While primarily in-office, a hybrid schedule may be available depending on the needs of the case and the candidate.

You’ll work closely with the firm’s principal, manage challenging cases, and help protect the livelihood and legacy of business owners across California. This is a role for someone ready to hit the ground running — bringing proven litigation experience and the ability to handle cases with confidence and minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload, conducting legal research, analysis, and strategy development
  • Draft and respond to discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)
  • Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses
  • Draft, file, and argue motions (including motions for dismissal and motions in limine)
  • Negotiate settlements and pursue alternative dispute resolution strategies
  • Provide clients with clear, strategic legal counsel on risks and case direction
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver exceptional results

Education & Experience

  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing (required)
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in business litigation and/or employment defense
  • Proven track record handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, evidence, and substantive law
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with precision
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $115,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
