The Opportunity:

We are seeking a driven Litigation Attorney eager to gain meaningful, hands-on courtroom experience in Nassau County Supreme Court. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an early-career attorney seeking to develop strong litigation skills through real court appearances, substantive responsibility, and direct mentorship from experienced litigators. The position offers a clear path for professional growth, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility and advance within the firm as litigation skills develop.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in in-person court appearances throughout the week, including conferences, motion arguments, and trials.
  • Manage assigned cases with increasing independence and responsibility, with guidance and mentorship.
  • Develop and execute effective case strategies from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and argue compelling motions, oppositions, and reply papers.
  • Lead settlement negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of partners, associates, and support staff focused on our shared mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.
  • Familiarity with legal platforms (Westlaw, PACER, NYSCEF).
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle complex matters proactively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in New York No-Fault litigation.
  • Background in personal injury or workers' compensation litigation.
