Litigation Case Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management of litigation cases from inception through resolution, ensuring all case documentation, deadlines, and legal procedures are meticulously handled. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will support our attorneys in delivering efficient legal services across a variety of practice areas. Duties

  • Coordinate and manage litigation cases by organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining comprehensive documentation using legal case management systems.
  • Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case strategies and prepare summaries for attorneys.
  • Review and draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Assist attorneys with document review, proofreading, transcription, and data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, court appearances, client interviews, and meetings while maintaining effective communication with clients, witnesses, experts, and external partners.
  • Support project management tasks by prioritizing caseloads, monitoring progress on litigation milestones, and ensuring timely submission of filings.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems in accordance with legal administrative standards while managing document management systems like iManage.

Skills

  • Proven experience with legal research tools to gather relevant case law and statutory information.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in legal administrative software.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure error-free submissions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented document review and data entry accuracy.
  • Effective interviewing techniques for client intake or witness statements; professional phone etiquette for client communication.
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research across diverse practice areas; familiarity with litigation procedures is essential.
  • Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience is highly desirable for success in this role.
