A global law firm are seeking a Counsel level candidate to bolster their growing disputes offering in Dubai. The successful candidate will have a primary focus on complex litigation and dispute resolution matters before the
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts
and the
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Courts
.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage high-value, complex litigation and arbitration matters within the DIFC and ADGM jurisdictions.

Act as lead counsel on proceedings before the DIFC and ADGM Courts, including interim applications, trials, and enforcement actions.

Advise internal stakeholders and clients on DIFC/ADGM laws, procedural rules, and strategic dispute resolution options.

Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, submissions, witness statements, and settlement agreements.

Manage and coordinate external counsel, experts, and other advisors as required.

Contribute to risk assessment, dispute avoidance strategies, and early case evaluation.

Support business and transactional teams on contentious aspects of commercial arrangements.

Stay abreast of developments in DIFC and ADGM legislation, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
Candidate Profile

Qualified lawyer
currently at senior associate level, looking to move up to Counsel
-
Demonstrable, hands-on experience conducting matters before the
DIFC and/or ADGM Courts
.

Strong knowledge of common law principles as applied in DIFC and ADGM.

Experience in financial services, banking, construction, energy, or complex commercial disputes is advantageous.

Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial judgment.
