Kennedy & Graven, Chartered is a law firm of more than 30 attorneys dedicated to representing public sector clients throughout Minnesota. Our firm offers full-spectrum legal support for municipalities, serving as both general counsel as well as dedicated trial lawyers. Our attorneys are widely recognized for their extensive experience in general municipal law, township law, school law, public finance, employment and labor law, and litigation. The firm represents a broad range of public entities, including cities, counties, townships, school districts, state agencies, development authorities, and other public organizations.
The firm is seeking a full-time, experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for a wide range of litigation support and traditional legal administrative duties, including preparing, formatting, and proofreading correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents; assisting in preparation of resolutions and ordinances; managing case files, calendars, and deadlines; filing documents in state and federal courts (including electronic filing); assisting with trial preparation and document management; and communicating professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant, a strong working knowledge of court rules and filing procedures, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $87,000, commensurate with experience.
