Litigation Legal Assistant

We are an AV-Rated personal injury law firm in Austin, Texas. Our legal team has over 100 years of combined legal experience. We specialize in medical negligence cases and pride ourselves on our compassionate approach to serving and fighting for clients whose lives, or the lives of their loved ones, have been significantly altered by the act of someone else’s negligence.

Our office is fast paced. We are currently seeking a full-time self-motivated LEGAL ASSISTANT OR PARALEGAL with experience handling MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE or PLAINTIFF'S PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION OR INSURANCE DEFENSE cases.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• excellent communication skills with which to handle clients, courts and opposing council;
• excellent writing skills, including excellent grammar and spelling;
• excellent proofreading skills;
• have a thorough knowledge and understanding of e-filing, civil litigation procedures, deadlines and local rules of court;
• be able to prepare correspondence, discovery and pleadings (some transcription required);
• be able to accurately schedule and calendar appointments, hearings and depositions;
• be able to make travel arrangements for attorneys;
• be forward thinking and self-motivated to anticipate what the attorneys will need in advance of deadlines;
• possess strong organizations skills, be punctual, dependable and professional; and,
• have strong computer skills, be attentive to detail and follow-through on projects.
• Experience with Clio case management software a plus, along with the ability to speak Spanish!

Compensation: Commensurate with ability and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
