Litigation Paralegal

Prominent mid-sized Insurance Defense/litigation firm located in MINEOLA, NY is seeking to hire an experienced paralegal.

Prior experience with personal injury, premises liability and construction accident cases is a PLUS.

This is an opportunity to work in an organized and growing law firm. Minimum of 3 years experience and an understanding of all aspects of the discovery process is required.

Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Electronic filing via NYSCEF;
• Digesting incoming transfer files and sorting for handling attorney;

• Designating physicians for Independent Medical Examinations;
• Processing HIPAA authorizations and following up with providers for medical records;
• Generating and circulating Stipulations to adversaries;
• Compiling exhibits for motions.

An ideal candidate would have excellent organizational skills, be able to work quickly and efficiently, pay attention to detail, and must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks. We are looking for a team player that is an energetic self-starter. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Salary is based on experience.
