Overview
We are seeking a very-experienced, dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join Bauer & Metro PC which is an established and well-known law firm with offices in Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort. The primary location for this position will be in our Bluffton Office with occasional, but not daily, work in Hilton Head and Beaufort. In this vital role, you will support complex personal injury litigation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-stakes legal proceedings while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This position requires significant experience as a personal injury paralegal and will include matching compensation. This is not an entry level position.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys in state and federal courts with all phases of litigation including case preparation, discovery, document review, and trial support.
  • Manage and organize case files using legal case management systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions and correspondence with precision.
  • Maintain meticulous records of case activities, court deadlines, and filing requirements in compliance with court rules.
  • Coordinate interviews with clients, witnesses, experts, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information.
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and managing communication flow within the law office.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a personal injury paralegal. This is not an entry level position.
  • Proficiency in document management systems like Dropbox and case management software such as Smokeball.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading and transcription abilities.
  • Effective interviewing skills to gather detailed information from clients and witnesses.
  • Strong clerical skills including data entry, filing procedures in both state and federal court, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
