We're hiring an experienced litigation paralegal to support our expanding federal IP docket. This is a primarily in-person position based in Princeton, NJ. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow your expertise in IP law, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support
- Manage litigation docket and track critical deadlines across multiple cases
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and court filings
- Prepare and file motions in federal court (electronic filing systems)
- Coordinate with local counsel and co-counsel on case matters
- Organize case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
- Conduct basic legal research
IP Practice Support
- Learn and assist with trademark docketing and deadline management
- Support copyright and trademark enforcement matters
- Gain hands-on experience with USPTO procedures and IP practice
- Assist with cease & desist letters and takedown coordination
Operations & Administration
- Maintain organized calendaring and task management systems
- Support billing and time tracking processes
- Help build efficient, tech-forward workflows
Requirements
- 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience (civil litigation preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with deadline management
- Experience with federal court procedures and electronic filing systems (CM/ECF)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with cloud-based platforms
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Must be available during Eastern Time (ET) business hours
- Must be based in or near Princeton, NJ – this is a primarily in-office position
Preferred (but not required):
- Prior experience with IP, trademark, or copyright matters
- Paralegal certificate or relevant education
- Familiarity with USPTO systems
Compensation
- 3-month contract position with W-2 conversion after the term.
- $72,000-$80,000 annual salary (benefits included upon conversion to full-time employee)
- Opportunity to grow with an expanding firm and develop specialized IP expertise
- Monday through Friday schedule
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
