Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury

<Responsibilities>

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, including case intake, investigation, and discovery
  • Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
  • Manage case files efficiently using document management systems like Filevine or Aderant ensuring accurate data entry and organization
  • Coordinate depositions, client interviews, and expert consultations while maintaining clear communication channels
  • Review and analyze medical records, accident reports, and other evidence to build strong cases
  • Support administrative tasks including filing documents with courts, scheduling hearings, and maintaining calendar deadlines

<Skills>

  • Proven experience as a paralegal in litigation settings, especially within personal injury law
  • Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Familiarity with legal case management software including Filevine, and document management systems
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness statements
  • Knowledge of related practice areas such as Workers' Compensation Law, Landlord-Tenant Law, and Family Law.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong clerical experience including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and phone etiquette
  • Project management skills to coordinate case activities efficiently while meeting deadlines
