Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff for appropriate discovery tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all discoveries and pending tasks.
- Client contact, including coordinating, scheduling and completing discovery calls
- Drafting, reviewing and filing legal documents
- Communicate with court clerks, opposing counsel, and clients for case management tasks.
- Draft and review legal correspondence including thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
- Complete discovery responses in compliance with court rules and procedures and file them in the FL Filing Portal.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong Computer skills required - proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, prior experience with PracticePanther, legal case management software a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Prior legal experience with insurance adjuster or case manager a plus.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- First Party Property Litigation experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to litigation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
