Littleton Food Co-op Board Administrator

Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Board Administrator is responsible for supporting the administrative, logistical, and communication needs of the LFC Board of Directors. Hours will vary and could be up to 10 hours weekly during peak weeks.

DUTIES:

Board Meetings & Committees

  • Prepare, review and post BOD meeting and committee agendas
  • Review agenda content with the board President before posting
  • Set up Zoom links and invitations
  • Coordinate with the BOD President for any needed materials, email correspondence, and subject matter guidance
  • Take minutes either in person or from the Zoom recorded meeting
  • Review meeting minutes with the BOD representative prior to posting
  • Maintain the BOD folder in the Google Drive
  • Record and document any online voting
  • Keep the Standing Committee Spreadsheet up to date
  • Arrange logistics for the annual BOD retreat
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the CEO and Board President

Member Engagement

  • Assist with Board-facilitated events and member engagement activities such as the Annual Member meeting and Board elections
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Team on implementing BOD approved messaging
  • Create a BOD posting for the monthly member newsletter

Job Location: Hybrid:
Attendance at the LFC monthly meeting is required/strongly preferred. Virtual participation via Zoom can be provided if needed. In the absence of the regular board secretary, the administrator is expected to attend and host the meeting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in multi-task administrative roles
  • Interest and knowledge of Cooperative Policy Governance is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other common computer programs
  • Basic graphic design skills with programs such as PowerPoint and Canva
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and make decisions independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
  • Complete understanding of confidentiality
