Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Home Health Aide / Personal Care Assistant (HHA/PCA) to provide comprehensive in-home care for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, home health, and working with individuals with disabilities or memory impairments. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering personalized, respectful, and professional care in a supportive environment. The position involves living on-site to ensure continuous, reliable support while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, noting changes in health status and reporting findings accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide specialized care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions, including memory care techniques.
  • Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and vital signs monitors to ensure safe patient handling and health monitoring.
  • Support clients with medical procedures like catheter care, medication administration, and hospice-related needs.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
  • Document medical records accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times while fostering a caring and respectful atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HHA or PCA within home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or specialized dementia training are preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring adaptive support is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
  • Ability to work independently in a live-in environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with healthcare professionals and family members while respecting patient privacy under HIPAA guidelines. Pay: $280.00 - $300.00 per day
