Childcare & Household Assistant

We are seeking a candidate who can blend high-quality housekeeping with warm, reliable assistance in managing our three children's daily lives. This is a role that requires time management and proactive support for the family routine.

Core Childcare Responsibilities:

1. Morning "Go" Time (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM): You will be the primary engine of the morning, helping us get three children out the door on time and ready for their day. This includes:

  • Waking the children and assisting them with dressing (with specific care for styling the daughter’s hair neatly).
  • Meal prep: Preparing and supervising nutritious breakfasts.
  • Logistics: Packing school bags and water bottles for all three.
  • Transport: Managing bus departures for two children (7:30 AM and 8:25 AM) and walking the youngest child to school (8:50 AM).

2. Afternoon Logistics & After-School Care: Your afternoon focus shifts back to the children as they finish school:

  • Pick up the youngest child from school (time varies between 3:00 and 3:45 PM).
  • Be present to welcome the older children home from the bus stop (4:20 PM).
  • Transition from school: Ensure they put away their school items and settle in.

3. Evening Support (Dinner to Bedtime): As the day winds down, you will support the family's evening flow:

  • Dinner: Assist with the preparation and supervision of the evening meal.
  • Play: Facilitate engaging activities (outside, games, puzzles) and supervise any playdates to maintain order.
  • Bedtime: Provide assistance to ensure a smooth transition to bed.

Additional Support Tasks:

  • Child-Centric Organization: Maintain order in the children's closets and play spaces.
  • Snack Prep: Wash and cut produce for healthy snacks and meals.
  • Errand & Stock Management: Proactively identify grocery or cleaning supplies running low and create simple lists.
