Housekeeper / Family Assistant – Scarsdale, NY

Location: Scarsdale, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
Children: Three children (ages 3, 6, and 7)
Compensation: $1,100–$1,300 per week depending on experience

About the Family

Warm and welcoming family in Scarsdale is seeking a reliable and experienced housekeeper/family assistant to become part of their household. Both parents work full-time and value having someone dependable who enjoys maintaining a well-run home and supporting the daily routine.

The family has three children, ages 3, 6, and 7, who are all in school during the day. They already have a long-time caregiver who comes each afternoon for 4-6 hours to handle after-school care, so this role focuses primarily on household support during the day and helping the children get ready in the morning.

This is intended to be a long-term position with a respectful and appreciative family.

Responsibilities

• Helping the children get ready and off to school in the morning
• Cleaning and maintaining the family home
• Laundry and general household organization
• Cooking a simple, healthy dinner for the children
• Driving to school pickups and occasional drop-offs and to some after-school activities
• Keeping the home running smoothly during the day

Occasionally (about once per month), the family hosts friends for a late dinner. On those days, the schedule will begin later and the housekeeper will stay until approximately 10:00 PM to help prepare the home and assist with dinner preparations.

Requirements

• Experienced and confident driver
• Minimum 2+ years of housekeeping experience in private homes
• Comfortable cooking simple, healthy meals
• Some childcare experience preferred
• Strong references

Fluent English is not required. Candidates with broken English are welcome to apply as long as they can communicate about daily tasks and responsibilities.
