About the Family

Kind and welcoming family in Upper Saddle River is seeking a live-in nanny to join their home and care for their two young children. Dad works in New York City and Mom works primarily from home, and they are looking for someone who will become a positive and supportive presence in their household.

Their children are 2.5 years old and 1 year old. The older child attends a preschool program part of the day, so the role focuses primarily on caring for the 1-year-old during the day and both children when the older child returns home. The family values a long-term relationship with a nanny who enjoys young children and brings warmth, patience, and energy to the role.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, nurturing care for the children
• Engaging the children in age-appropriate play, activities, and learning
• Ensuring the children’s safety at all times
• Creating a fun, stimulating environment for the children
• Supporting daily routines such as meals, naps, and playtime
• Light household tasks related to the children during nap time, as time allows

The family has a housekeeper who handles the heavy and regular cleaning

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of childcare experience with similar ages
• Strong references from previous families
• Conversational to fluent English (Mom prefers not to rely on translation apps except occasionally)
• Warm, responsible, and attentive caregiver

Driving is not required for this position.
