Live-In Nanny Needed

Job Summary
We are a warm and respectful family located in Northern Virginia (near Washington DC). area seeking a live-in nanny to help care for our three children (ages 7, 5, and 3.5).

We are looking for someone who is kind, responsible, and engaging, and who truly enjoys working with children. The ideal candidate will be active with the kids, create fun and educational activities, and help maintain a calm and structured home environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children through play, reading, and creative activities
• Support daily routines including mornings and evenings
• Help with meal prep and light cooking for the children
• Assist with homework and learning activities
• Help with bedtime routine (baths, reading, winding down)
• Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying toys, dishes, etc.)
• Help with drop off and pick up (plus)

Schedule:

• Morning: 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM
• Afternoon/Evening: ~3:30/4:00 PM – 8:00/8:30 PM
• Children are in school/daycare during the day, so you will have significant free time during the day
• Schedule changes during non-school days/breaks

Requirements

• Experience caring for young children
• Dependable, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple children and stay organized
• Comfortable with a flexible schedule
• Driving license and car (plus)

Compensation:

• Open to flexible compensation arrangements, including a mix of pay and room/board
• Willing to discuss barter-style arrangements depending on hours and responsibilities
• We will cover your relocation costs to the area
• Details can be customized based on the right candidate
