About the Family

A warm, thoughtful family in Bronxville is seeking a live-in nanny to care for their two children—a 5-year-old boy and a daughter turning 2 this July. Both parents have busy professional lives and are intentional about how their children are raised. They value structure, kindness, and raising children who are respectful, confident, and engaged members of their community.

They are looking for a nanny who is not only nurturing, but also confident in setting boundaries—someone who is comfortable guiding behavior, saying “no” when needed, and actively shaping positive habits and character. At the same time, they are seeking a warm, kind person who the children will come to love and respect.

The family has a small dog and spends one month each summer in the Hamptons. Both parents travel occasionally for work, though rarely at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Morning routines, including preparing children for school and getting them out the door on time
• Driving children to and from school and activities
• Picking up the 2-year-old from her half-day program and managing nap routines
• School pick-up for the 5-year-old and transportation to after-school activities and playdates
• Encouraging active, engaging play (lots of neighborhood children and opportunities for socialization)
• Preparing meals for the children; family meal prep is a plus for candidates who enjoy cooking
• Maintaining a tidy, organized home environment
• Light housekeeping tasks while children are at school or napping

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of nanny or childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable around water and able to supervise children in a pool setting (strong swimming not required)
• Warm, confident, and able to balance kindness with structure and discipline
• Reliable, proactive, and interested in a long-term position

Compensation & Benefits

Ideal Candidate
