About the Family

A warm, organized, and well-supported family in Tenafly is seeking a full-time live-in nanny to join their team. The household includes five children, ages 11, 9, 7, 4, and 20 months. The older children are in school full-time, and the youngest attends a half-day program for socialization.

This is a collaborative environment with a full-time housekeeper and an additional afternoon/evening nanny. The family values teamwork, communication, and creating a calm, well-run home where the children are supported and thriving.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for the 20-month-old, including engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities
• Support the child’s daily routine, including meals, naps, and outings
• Maintain children’s bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces in an organized and tidy manner
• Handle children’s laundry and related household tasks
• Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children during the week
• Assist with meal prep for the family in preparation for Shabbat
• Work collaboratively with other household staff and mom to ensure the home runs smoothly
• Help keep schedules, routines, and children’s needs organized and on track

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of full-time, professional childcare experience
• Prior live-in experience preferred
• Warm, engaging, and attentive with young children
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Conversational English required (able to communicate clearly about the children and household)
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Seeking a long-term position with a family
