Job Overview:

Purple Mice LLC, one of the leading AV production companies in the UAE, is seeking a talented and experienced Sound Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in sound system design, setup, and live mixing for events.

As a Sound Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional audio quality at every event — from system configuration and sound checks to live operation — contributing to a world-class event experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audio Design and Planning: Collaborate with event planners and clients to design sound systems tailored to venue and event requirements.
• Equipment Setup: Assemble, install, and test audio systems including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and mixing consoles.
• Live Mixing and Operation: Operate front-of-house (FOH) and monitor consoles during rehearsals and live performances to ensure optimal sound quality.
• System Calibration: Conduct sound checks, adjust levels, EQs, and dynamics to achieve balanced mixes for both live audiences and recordings.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain audio equipment and promptly address any technical issues during events.
• Safety and Standards: Ensure all audio installations comply with electrical and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with lighting, video, and production teams to ensure a seamless AV experience.
• Innovation: Keep up to date with the latest audio technologies and mixing techniques to enhance event sound design.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sound Engineer in live events, concerts, or exhibitions.
• Strong knowledge of professional audio systems, digital mixing consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Allen & Heath), and signal processing.
• Proficiency in audio networking.
• Familiarity with rigging practices, power distribution, and acoustic principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in live environments.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality sound.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• A valid UAE driving license is a plus.
