Live Stream Host / Chat Hype Host – Luxury Jewelry & Lab Diamond Streams

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $25/hour + performance bonuses possible

Schedule: Evening shifts (typically 8 PM – 12 AM)

We are looking for a high-energy, outgoing personality to help run our live online luxury jewelry streams focused on lab-grown diamonds and surprise-set style entertainment.

This is NOT a traditional retail sales job. You are not cold-calling or pressuring people to buy anything. Instead, your role is to help entertain, engage, and energize a live audience during our streams.

### What Is Whatnot?

Whatnot is a live-stream shopping platform where hosts interact with viewers in real time while products are auctioned or sold live. Think of it like a mix between Twitch, TikTok Live, and an online game show.

Our streams focus on lab-grown diamonds, jewelry, and “surprise set” games where buyers win different prizes live on stream.

### What You’ll Be Doing

- Hosting and helping run live streams

- Engaging with viewers in the chat

- Keeping energy high and making the stream entertaining

- Explaining how games/rules work to new viewers

- Encouraging interaction and creating a fun atmosphere

- Helping the stream feel active, social, and exciting

- Assisting with pacing, audience retention, and overall flow

### You Are NOT Responsible For

- Hard selling

- Managing inventory

- Shipping orders

- Customer service outside the stream

- High-pressure sales tactics

### Ideal Candidate

- Naturally outgoing and energetic

- Comfortable speaking live

- Good at reading people and creating excitement

- Can keep conversations flowing naturally

- Confident personality with strong communication skills

- No jewelry knowledge required — we can teach that

### Bonus If You Have

- Experience going live on TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, or YouTube

- Background in hospitality, serving, bartending, promotions, or entertainment

- Strong social skills and quick thinking
