About The Basements

The Basements LLC is a New York–based premium plant brand specializing in rare and exotic tropical plants, including Monstera, Anthurium, Philodendron, Platycerium, and more. We host regular live sales and auctions and are looking for a confident, engaging Live Stream Host to represent our brand both on and off camera.

No professional plant background is required — structured training is provided.

What You’ll Do

Live Stream & Sales

• Host live streams showcasing plants, explaining features, condition, and pricing
• Engage with viewers in real time, answering questions and driving interaction
• Maintain a clear, friendly, and trustworthy on-camera presence

Pre-Live Preparation

• Select plants for upcoming live sales in coordination with the greenhouse team
• Photograph plants and prepare visual content for listings
• Upload and organize plant listings on live-sale platforms prior to broadcasts
• Ensure plant information, pricing, and order details are accurate before going live

Coordination & Support

• Work closely with packaging and operations teams before and after live sessions
• Communicate special notes or customer requests related to live-sale orders

Required Availability

• Tuesday – daytime
• Wednesday – evening
• Thursday – daytime
• Friday – evening
• On-site presence required during scheduled work hours

Optional: Full-Time Opportunity

This role may be expanded into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Full-time responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily greenhouse operations
• Basic plant handling, organization, and inventory support

What We’re Looking For

• Comfortable and confident speaking on camera
• Strong verbal communication skills in English
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Willingness to learn plant basics, pricing logic, and live-sale workflows
• Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams
• Sales, hosting, or live streaming experience preferred (but not required)

Training Provided

• Tropical plant basics (common varieties, realistic expectations, and shipping stress)
• Live-sale workflows, plant selection criteria, and platform operations
• Brand voice, customer trust-building, and live-stream flow control
• No prior plant experience is required to apply.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with live sales, auctions, or social commerce platforms
• Photography or basic content creation experience

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time, with an optional path to full-time
• Fixed weekly schedule as listed above
• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Performance-based incentives available (if applicable)
