Job Title: Livestock Supervisor / Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Livestock Supervisor to oversee daily livestock operations, ensure animal health and welfare, manage farm staff, and improve livestock productivity. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in cattle, goat, sheep, or dairy farm management and be willing to work in a rural farming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of livestock farms.
• Monitor animal health, feeding schedules, vaccination, and breeding programs.
• Coordinate with veterinarians for disease prevention and treatment.
• Supervise farm workers and ensure proper animal handling practices.
• Maintain records of livestock inventory, feed consumption, breeding, and health treatments.
• Ensure adequate feed, water, and shelter for all animals.
• Monitor livestock productivity and recommend improvements.
• Manage livestock purchases and sales when required.
• Ensure cleanliness and biosecurity standards on the farm.
• Oversee fodder production and feed management.
• Assist in marketing and selling livestock and livestock products.
• Prepare regular reports on farm performance and livestock conditions.
• Operate and supervise the maintenance of farm equipment and machinery.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in livestock management.
• Knowledge of animal nutrition, breeding, vaccination, and disease control.
• Ability to manage labor and farm operations efficiently.
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Experience working in rural farming environments.
• Valid driving license will be preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Animal Sciences, Livestock Management, Veterinary Sciences, or a related field will be an advantage.
