Loading and unloading

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, materials, and freight. This includes loading and unloading shipments from trucks, containers, or other vehicles, and ensuring proper handling, placement, and documentation within a warehouse or distribution center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight safely and efficiently.
• Sort, verify, and document incoming and outgoing materials against shipment documents (e.g., invoices, manifests).
• Inspect items for damage and report any discrepancies or issues immediately.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as needed (certification may be required).
• Ensure that materials are properly secured or braced to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
• Assist in organizing, stocking, and staging inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members, truck drivers, and supervisors to coordinate and optimize workflows.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred, but not always required).
• Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role is often preferred.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy objects (e.g., up to 50-75 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Stamina and physical fitness to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures and safety protocols.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills for inventory verification and documentation.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift certification is a strong asset).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,408.87 - ₹15,000.00 per month
