Within the Finance Division, the Portfolio Department partners closely with the Lending, Community Investments, and Real Estate divisions to support a wide range of programs. As a Loan Administrator, you’ll support the day-to-day administration of loans, guarantees, and grants across multiple MassDevelopment programs. In this role, you’ll help keep MassDevelopment’s loan portfolio running smoothly by supporting transactional processing, documentation, and reporting, while serving as a key operational partner to both internal teams and external clients throughout the lifecycle of each transaction.
What You’ll Do
- Process and manage multiple loan, guarantee, and grant transactions, including payments and advances
- Partner with accounting to ensure accurate billing and financial processing
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal partners and external clients, providing timely, professional support
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data and documentation within loan servicing systems
- Maintain organized, compliant file retention systems
- Assist with monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting
- Monitor UCC filings, real estate taxes, and insurance requirements
- Support the preparation and processing of legal documents, including mortgage discharges for paid-off loans
- Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused team environment
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience or an associate degree
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and loan servicing systems
- 2–3 years of experience in a loan operations environment (preferred, not required)
- Experience with loan servicing systems such as Enable (preferred, not required)
