POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides administrative assistance to the loan officer(s) and other lending staff, including preparing, acquiring, and assembling documentation for commercial, consumer, and real-estate loans following underwriting guidelines and policies.

- Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation

Ensures that loan files contain all appropriate documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data prior to closing of the loan and before booking

Checks documents for proper legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.

Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.

Responds to customer inquires concerning loan processing and information.

Works loan exceptions for Loan Officer(s) and other lending staff
-
Works closely with Loan Officer(s) to assist with customer outreach, including but not limited to, data collection, wires, NSF accounts, payoff requests, and past due loans.

Performs duties included, but not limited to: obtaining credit reports, processing consumer, commercial and real estate loan payments/advances, reviewing loan approvals for completeness, compiling completed loan documents for closing, maintaining credit files, etc.
- Complete necessary paperwork to pay invoices related to loan closing items.

Coordinate construction loan inspections on real estate loans for assigned Loan Officers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that draws are made in a timely manner and are only made for materials in place and work completed, unless otherwise dictated by assigned Loan Officers.

Order and review any necessary title work, flood certificates, hazard insurance, UCC searches, and such other third-party reports as are necessary for the processing of commercial and consumer loans.

Promote the bank’s products and services.

Build and maintain positive relations with all customers, potential customers, and co-workers.

Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.

Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals.

Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations.
DESIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Education Requirement
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years commercial loan servicing and doc preparation experience preferred
Technical Skills Needed
-
General knowledge of lending services and to interpret loan documents;

General knowledge of commercial lending policies and procedures;

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);

High degree of accuracy and attention to details;

Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter;

This individual must demonstrate a history of excellent communication skills;

Must have a clear, audible speaking voice, ability to read and comprehend handwritten forms, and the ability to hear instructions or requests;
