We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Assistant to help our lending team serve customers efficiently while keeping loan processes running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be a key partner to our lenders and a helpful point of contact for customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Support lenders with loan origination and portfolio management.
• Request, track, and coordinate loan documentation for consumer, commercial, agricultural, real estate, and construction loans.
• Work closely with Loan Operations to prepare and finalize loan documents.
• Review loan files for accuracy and completeness prior to closing.
• Assist with loan presentations, reports, and internal documentation.
• Provide excellent service to customers by answering questions and assisting with requests.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, lenders, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, including BSA and regulatory requirements.
• Help maintain organized and accurate loan records.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting both customers and teammates.

Ideal qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience in banking, lending support, or financial services preferred.
• Knowledge of loan products, agricultural or commercial lending is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and standard banking systems.
• Spanish-speaking skills are helpful but not required.

Work Environment

This position is based in our Springfield office in a professional, team-focused banking environment. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
