Local and regional CDL Class A Drivers

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Local and Regional CDL Class A Driver, where your expertise in commercial driving will power our operations across local and regional routes. In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting freight using various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks for local and regional deliveries
• Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual handling techniques when necessary
• Execute route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and safety regulations at all times
• Inspect vehicles daily to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route adjustments
• Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks
• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery and route driving in local or regional settings
• Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or manual methods; forklift certification is a plus
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Physical ability to handle the demands of truck operation including long periods of sitting and occasional lifting
