Job Title: Local & Regional Driver (Non-CDL)

Location: Atlanta/Newnan, GA

Reports To: Transportation Manager / Fleet Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Local & Regional Driver to transport goods efficiently and professionally throughout designated local and regional routes. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries, maintain compliance with all transportation regulations, and provide excellent customer service while representing the company.

Average regional route distance will be a radius of approximatley 300 miles.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform local and regional deliveries and pickups according to scheduled routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in a professional manner.
• Adhere to company safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.

QualificationsRequired

• Valid drivers license.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Forklift certification or warehouse experience.
• Experience operating dry van, flatbed, or refrigerated equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Frequent entering and exiting of the vehicle.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move freight as required.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions.

Work Schedule

• Home daily for local routes.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required for regional routes.
• Monday–Friday schedule with opportunites for higher earnings for weekend work.
