Local CDL A Truck Driver

Job Overview
CanAmex Transportation is looking to add qualified drivers to our team to deliver loads locally. This is a home daily (m-f) position but you will be required to start early. Loads will deliver in various locations and we anticipate them to be within 150 mile to up to 200 mile radius. You will pick up loaded trailers from our customer and deliver the load (live unload) and come back empty. Some days you may be required to take 2 loads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dry van loads with a sleeper cab
• Bring freight to the tail of the trailer when requested by the receiver with a pallet jack.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Manage route driving with precision, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven truck driving experience with a valid CDL A license, preferably with experience in route driving within a local/regional setting..
• Experience pulling 53' dry vans
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.

Requirements

• Clean MVR, Clearinghouse and PSP
• 12 months of dry van experience
