Position: Local CDL A Swing Delivery Driver and Builder

Your title will be Swing Delivery Driver, and you will report to Floral City Beverage (the Company’s) Warehouse Manager. You are responsible to fulfill the job description for Swing Delivery Driver which would consist of a Presell Driver and Builder.

As a Presell Driver you are responsible for: unloading and delivery of the product, accurate invoicing and collection of payment, inventory management, product quality and merchandising. Delivering products to retailers in a safe and efficient manner while representing the Company in a professional manner. You are responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, DOT regulation, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

As a Builder your duties consist of assembling pallets with product to be loaded on route trucks in proper rotation as requested by warehouse management system. You are responsible for adhering to company policies, OSHA standards and supplier agreements.

Compensation: Full-time, Approximately $45-55,000 + healthcare benefits + 401K retirement matching

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a CDL A Delivery Driver your responsibilities are as follows:

• Delivering our products to customers in our distribution area.
• Handle product in a safe manner using proper lifting techniques and ensure minimal product damage
• Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Responsible for the security of the vehicle
• Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability and product uses
• Conduct and submit pre-trip and post trip vehicle inspections for fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles to the Warehouse Manager
• Present invoices and collect payments for products delivered or picked up
• Pick up all empty cans, bottles and kegs and tag the empty bags with the customer number
• Verify truck inventory against load out sheet
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries
• Inform customers of delivery schedules, service, and other information pertaining to products
• Attend company meetings and route sales meetings as required
• Check inventory levels, rotation and monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards
• Providing excellent customer service and establishing long term relationships with customers

As a Builder your responsibilities are as follows:

• Follow FIFO inventory system when loading all products.
• Responsible for keeping company equipment clean and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor.
• Report all accidents to management and fill out an accident/incident report immediately.
• Manually or mechanically load product to pallets.
• Assemble product on to pallets accurately and safely.
• Rotate product according to supplier agreement.
• Handle and move product in a safe manner to prevent any product breakage or damage.
• Responsible for any on-going training.
• Follow directive from supervisors.

Other Requirements:

Must have a current CDL-A license, pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check and FMCSA motor vehicle report.

Working Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. You will be filling in as delivery driver for all route vacations. On these days you will be leaving the building between 6 and 7AM and returning at the end of the route, which takes approximately 7-8 hours to complete. When you are not filling in on vacations, you will be building pallets with product to be delivered the next day. The hours on these days will be 9AM until close. Close time will vary by season. You can expect at least 8-hour days. Holiday schedules vary and you will be required to work certain holidays, or the Sundays before holiday weeks.
