Full Job Description

We are looking for a Driver to transport steel in a safe and timely manner to local construction sites and businesses primarily on a flatbed trailer. Driver responsibilities include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, responding to driver-related complaints or concerns, and meeting the company's high-quality driving standards.

This position also operates three different forklifts to load and unload vehicles and support manufacturing operations. When not driving or operating forklifts this position will be assisting with steel fabrication or other shop needs, as directed.

To be considered for this role, you should have a valid TX CDL and a clean driving record with no traffic violations in the recent past. You also should have a year or more experience operating large forklifts.

Ultimately, you will help us run smoothly, which will allow us to provide our clients with the best customer service and meet their needs. We are willing to train the right person with a proven success story.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older·Valid/Active Driver’s License
• Must have CDL Class A·No traffic violations within last 3 years (Required)
• No DUI in last 3 years (Required)
• No drug charges in last 3 years (Required)
• One year or more of forklift operation
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the day; must have physical stamina and flexibility to move quickly and efficiently without being on your feet for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL Class A truck to transport goods safely and efficiently within the local area.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with customers and supervisor regarding any issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Manage flatbed trailers as required by specific loads.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
