Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our operations! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting Construction equipment mostly to the Bay but we service all of Northern California. We are home every night this is a Monday-Friday Position. Once you learn to transport the equipment to the sites you will be trained to operate the heavy equipment on site. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks and handling construction equipment will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and other specialized vehicles.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
• Maintain communication with Foreman and management to coordinate schedules and report any issues or delays promptly.
• Assist with securing loads properly to prevent damage during transit and ensure safe transport of various construction equipment.

Skills

• Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual transmissions and tractor-trailers.
• Knowledge of operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment.
• Strong understanding of load securement techniques for different types of construction equipment.
• Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required.
• Excellent route driving skills with a focus on safety and punctuality .
• Familiarity with handling procedures across various industries including construction materials, or waste management.
• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driver responsibilities preferred. Pay: $20.00 - $35.79 per hour
