Local CDL Driver – Moffett & Boom Experience Preferred

Position Overview

RFX Logistics is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Local CDL Driver to join our growing team. This position involves local deliveries of building materials and other freight throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Drivers will be responsible for operating flatbed equipment, securing loads, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Candidates with Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) and boom crane experience are highly preferred, but we are willing to train qualified CDL drivers who demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-equipped flatbed trucks in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform local pickup and delivery operations throughout the DFW metroplex.
• Load, unload, and secure freight using proper tie-down and cargo securement methods.
• Operate a Moffett forklift for job site deliveries (preferred).
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding route status and delivery updates.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and damage-free.
• Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of assigned equipment.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR review.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

Preferred

• Moffett certification and operating experience.
• Boom crane certification and operating experience.
• Flatbed delivery experience.
• Building materials or construction delivery experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to climb in and out of trucks multiple times per day.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to safely secure loads is required.
