<Job Summary>
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Local CDLA (Commercial Driver’s License A) Driver to join our team. Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. In this role, you will be the vital link in our transportation chain, responsible for safely operating Class A to deliver freight efficiently within local routes. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help us maintain our reputation for dependable service and customer satisfaction.
<Duties>
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, to transport freight across designated local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts ensuring secure handling of refrigerated trailers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies to meet delivery schedule.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
<Experience>
- 2 Years experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with freight involving refrigerated trailers.
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus.
- Prior route driving experience in local delivery settings is highly desirable.
