Local Class A Driver

This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and mostly container trucks. Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions (some automatic available), ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Drive route-specific deliveries to local businesses and distribution centers, adhering to scheduled timeline
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and report any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts
• Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure efficient delivery schedules

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Familiarity with manual transmission operation and different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, tankers, containers
• Experience with freight
• Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading freight and vehicle inspections
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
