Local Delivery Driver

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to complete daily delivery routes.
• Load, secure, and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while maintaining safety standards.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting shipments, completing paperwork, and obtaining signatures when required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing stock, and supporting loading/unloading activities as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on route driving and customer service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and moving goods.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
• Strong organizational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
